Sherri Harrah:
I’m Sherri Harrah with HomeShow Garden Pros, and I’m here today with Mike Fodge with Azomite. And you always hear us talking on the radio show about using Azomite in your lawn and in your garden.
Mike Fodge:
Yes.
Sherri Harrah:
But your interior plants, you can use it as well.
Mike Fodge:
Absolutely.
Sherri Harrah:
So what would be some of the benefits of using it on the interior plants?
Mike Fodge:
Well, the interior plants also need to have micronutrients. They need those nutrients in order to do it. They’re optimal. So just a little bit, a pinch.
Sherri Harrah:
Which would be like, I’ll actually do it right now.
Mike Fodge:
Yes.
Sherri Harrah:
So a pinch like this.
Mike Fodge:
Just around the base.
Sherri Harrah:
And then how do I know how much to put in?
Mike Fodge:
Well, if it’s a five-inch pot, then five pinches. If it’s a one inch or two inch pot, a pinch.
Sherri Harrah:
Okay. And the good news is there’s no nitrogen in here, so it’s not going to burn.
Mike Fodge:
No.
Sherri Harrah:
So it’s not going to hurt to put a little bit too much. You just want to make sure you have enough.
Mike Fodge:
Right. And then when you water, those little prills will break down.
Sherri Harrah:
Break down.
Mike Fodge:
And that’s when it starts being absorbed by your root system.
Sherri Harrah:
Yeah, and our interior scapes can be a little rough on our interior plants sometimes.
Mike Fodge:
Yeah, sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold.
Sherri Harrah:
Yeah, yeah. And we would want to use this in conjunction with a regular fertilization program as well.
Mike Fodge:
Absolutely.
Sherri Harrah:
