Growing Poppies

Hi, everybody. It’s Mary with Nelson Nursery and Water Gardens. If you’re looking for a very unique winter annual, the Icelandic poppy is the one for you. This beautiful flower attracts bees, which when it’s warm, they still come out and try to find nectar and pollen. We even find little bees asleep in here sometimes. The Icelandic poppy is just a gorgeous pop of color for your winter garden. It can handle all those cold temperatures. Get out there and put some poppies in the next time you’re going to do your winter gardening.
