Joey Lenderman:
Hey, I’m Joey from Enchanted Gardens.
It’s wintertime. It’s a beautiful day, but we all know it’s going to get cold at some point, so you may wonder what can you plant this time of year? Well, in my opinion, a couple of the most bulletproof wintertime flowering plants are going to be pansies and violas. Pansies will bloom from October through mid to late March, depending on the weather.
They will take a very hard freeze without having to be covered and just give you color all winter long. Come in a great variety of colors, and then closely related to the pansies are violas. Violas will have a smaller bloom, but more of them, so they’ll give you just as much color, if not more. Both of these will bloom through the hardest freezes, like I said, and give you color all through the winter.
