Joey Lenderman:
Hey, y’all. It’s Joey from Enchanted Gardens. Today, we’re talking about all the acorns that have popped up over everybody’s yards this summer. There was this tough summer with the drought, and that had something to do with all the acorns. Trees are stressed out, so they’re making more acorns so they can reproduce and continue their species. Basically, that’s the theory of it. Bumper crop this year, same thing happens in certain years with fruit trees, pecan trees. There’s not a whole lot you need to do with them. If they really bother you, then you can rake them up.
Otherwise, they’re just going to decompose Over time. Squirrels will come and get them, but not any major steps that you need to take to do anything about that. It’ll take care of itself.
