Texas Garden Guy:

Hey, guys. Texas Garden Guy here. And today we’re planting some onions. I’ve gotten my raised bed here. We’re going to top it off with some Landscapers Pride Gardeners Magic, I picked this up over at Sienna Mulch, and I’m just going to pour this whole bag in here. Anytime you’ve got raised bed gardens, pretty much once a year you’re going to have to top off your raised beds because they’re going to sink down here in the Houston area because we’re watering and getting so much rain. So I’m going to spread this soil out, get it all topped off, and it’s okay if it’s covering the top or it’s over the top because it’s going to shrink again. All right. Now going to grab our onions.

These are… I don’t remember what kind of onions these are, I lost the tag for them, but onions are onions to me. I’m going to take my onions. I got my dipper stick. Go through. I’m going to go through about an inch down. One more. Toss my onions on top. All right. And you see, you want your onions to be pointing up. Got the root on the bottom. Top going there. Pop them in. You can pretty much grow onions year round here into Texas.

This bed over here doesn’t get a whole lot of sun. Probably at least six hours, but it’s not full sun. We’ll get these covered up, watered in. I’m going to add a little bit of the Nelson Plant Food. This is OMRI certified organic. I’m going to give it a little bit of a sprinkle here. Right on top. And we’ll plant the rest of this bed. Water it in. Be good to go. Hope y’all enjoyed this video. We’ll see you on the next one.
