Houston Organic Garden Tips & Advice
Hi, I’m Chris from Beck’s Home and Garden. Today, we’re talking about citrus. Really cool. I love citrus. We have lots of different varieties. This one right here is a Meyer lemon. Classic lemon flavor. So, so good. They’ll turn bright yellow when they’re ready. These aren’t quite ready yet, but soon.
We’ve got oranges, we’ve got grapefruits, we’ve got pomelos, key limes. So, so good. Lots of different varieties. They all have some fruit on them. This one is really, really nice over here. It is a pink variegated lemon. So, so cool. When you open that up, it’s going to be pink inside. Like pink lemonade, that’s what this is. So cool.
There’s one right here that’s another favorite of mine is called a calamondin. They’ll turn bright orange when they’re ready. Not much bigger than this. Pretty sour if you’re eating it fresh, but a lot of people will candy them. So, so good.
So the best citrus that you can have is the one that you would like to eat. They’re so good. You’ll always taste the difference on a homegrown citrus than one from the grocery store.
