AZOMITE® For Indoor Plants

Sherri Harrah:

Hi, I am Sheri with HomeShow Garden Pros, and we grow a lot of indoor plants. It’s all the rage right now, but the indoor environment can be a very hostile environment for our indoor plants, and so they’ll tend to get insects and disease quite frequently. So not only feeding our plants is important, but putting a mineral amendment down, something like Azomite. And I have Mike Fodge with Azomite. Mike, what are some benefits of using Azomite on our interior plants?

Mike Fodge:

Well, some of the benefits would be if they’re flowering plants, you’re probably going to get more flowers with aroma. If they put out an aroma, that’s a healthy plant. It’s going to have the nutrients that it’s not had, and it’s going to be able to do what it needs to do at its finest when it has everything it needs to do the job.

Sherri Harrah:

So boosting that immune response for insect control and disease control would be another benefit?

Mike Fodge:

Yes. Yes.

So of course, like I said, it’s not a plant food, but it’s like a mineral supplement and you would just sprinkle this right around, along with your fertilizer water in. It starts breaking down really quick, and then your plant will have everything it needs to fight off disease and insects as well.
