Diane: What is this fern?

Dany: Oh my gosh, that’s so gross. Diane’s got some really weird looking plants to show us. Diane, what are these things? Look at these, this one looks like a brain.

Diane: These are so cool.

Dany: They are cool.

Diane: These are brains.

Dany: That’s… Brain plants.

Diane: No, this is a cactus brain and they’re really fun, they’re really easy to take care of. There are so many unusual plants that-

Dany: Absolutely-

Diane: … some people like to collect them. I do.

Dany: All these are going to be real easy to care for too. Great for indoor sort of stuff.

Diane: Right.

Dany: What is that?

Diane: This is called lithops, or living stones. These grow in the desert. They’re so easy to care for, except do not over-water them. That’s one thing that’s very important for them to thrive.

Dany: What about this cool star thing?

Diane: This is so fun, so some people see a star and some people see a bishop’s cap.

Dany: Oh my gosh. You could make a whole chessboard with these weird plants.

Diane: Exactly. And these are cactuses, so they like it dry, so this is very easy to care for.

Dany: That’s awesome.

Diane: And then this little fun one, I call it the pillow plant.

Dany: Pillow plant. We’ve got this weird gold one here, fuzzy. Fuzzy plants can be kind of weird too because you’re like, what’s going on? Is it an animal or a plant?

Diane: And what is this fern?

Dany: Oh my gosh, that’s so gross. What’s this one called?

Diane: This is called on rabbit’s foot fern, and it really does look like a rabbit’s foot.

Dany: You could pet this, it’s nice.

Diane: Yeah, this is… It’s really unusual and weird…. There’s a lot of neat things and this is just the beginning, but there’s some really fun things. Especially as these grow larger, then they’re really, really strange looking. Yeah.

Dany: Even more interesting, awesome. Well there’s some great strange plant options for you. Thanks so much, Diane. For more information, go to homeshowgardenpros.com.
