Dany: We’re going to encourage you guys to just be bold in your spring gardening. When it comes down to getting new flowers in just go after it. Do some adventure. You don’t have to do the normal pansies and petunias.
Michael here, Michael brought a bunch of cool spring flowers. What’d you bring us?
Michal: Well, first of all is a really unique geranium. It’s called Vancouver Centennial. It’s not a real bloomer, but it’s a beautiful foliage-
Michal: … to put in with container plants. This is a new type of phlox that we have. It’s Intensia. Comes in about four, five different colors. It seems to be performing well through the summer. Snow Princess Alyssum. This is a good perennial here, very fragrant, easy to grow.
Dany: Bees love this.
Michal: We have a verbena. These are Lanai series. It’s not a real spreader. It’s more of a little bit of an upright grower, but it’s great to add into your garden.
Dany: Look at that dark flower. That’s beautiful.
Michal: Chenille plant, some right here, is new. Crossandra Sundance, which is one of my favorites-
Dany: That’s so gorgeous.
Michal: … for shade.
Dany: So dark. Gloss.
Michal: Glossy foliage. The Sundance variety has been the best in our performance.
Dany: Really beautiful.
Michal: This is a Bounce Impatien.
Dany: Oh, cool.
Michal: This, now, for trialed it for two years, does extremely well here. I’ve had them go from March until October and looked as good as when we planted them.
Dany: I love chenille. I love these plants. I love the way they grow sideways and make like a carpet. I love the red flower on there. It’s really cool.
Michal: If you’ll notice, it’s a new variety. It’s a little pink. It’s much lighter.
Dany: Okay. So it’s a pink chenille.
Michal: It’s a pink chenille.
Dany: Oh, cool. Well, this one’s my favorite. What’s your favorite?
Michal: This one. The Bounce.
Dany: Oh, gorgeous.
Michal: Impatiens are one of the most widely planted plants in America and this outperforms it.
Dany: I know the leaves are so pretty.
Dany: Well, thanks so much for showing these plants. So cool. So fun.
Michal: Thank you.
Dany: Thanks a lot. Thank you, guys.
